CYBINT NEWS / ARIZONA / NOVEMBER 27, 2018 – Global cyber education leader Cybint Solutions, a BARBRI company, recently joined forces with Arizona’s Estrella Mountain Community College to host Cyber Intelligence, Human Behavior, and Personal Incident Response, an innovative and informative cybersecurity roundtable centered on the “human element” of cybersecurity.
The event, which featured presentations by global cyber expert and Cybint CEO, Roy Zur, and Cybint head of business development and former FBI profiler, Bryan Dickens, attracted numerous cyber professionals and leaders from institutions and organizations representing government, education and businesses.
The roundtable served as one more step to further Cybint’s mission of fostering cybersecurity knowledge and expertise across industries. It also served to reinforce the company’s core philosophy around the importance of hands-on skills training for cybersecurity professionals and the value of multiple levels of education aimed at building expertise in professionals. A key theme throughout the day revolved around the notion of the human factor of cybersecurity and the importance of individuals and their training and decision-making in the face of cyber threats.
“Solid training and education are pivotal for cybersecurity individuals as they work to protect their organizations,” said Glen Olson, Estrella Mountain Community College faculty member. “Focusing on the human element of cybersecurity during our roundtable is a way to ensure we help our students and our faculty stay abreast of the latest real-life challenges and opportunities in cybersecurity.”
“Cybersecurity intersects the worlds of government, academia and industry,” said Zur. “Consequently, it is absolutely vital that we keep cyber training and education current and consistent and shared across those industry lines. We were excited to participate and encouraged by the collaboration and passion for best-in-class cyber training we saw in the session. Collectively we understand that cybercrime is increasingly sophisticated and we need to work together to train the cybercrime prevention professionals of today and tomorrow.”
